Details of Laboratory
Dr. N. S. Kapany Lab houses modern instruments used for optical communication which fulfill the requirements of Optical Communication
and N/W Lab for 7th Semester ECE students. Students can calculate attenuation constant, bending loss and numerical aperture of
optical fiber, and study LED characteristics and input-output characteristics using long optical fiber. The lab also provides partial
support to research scholars working in this field. The simulation of optical communication systems can be done using OptiSystem
Software.
