The central library plays a key role in the academic activities of the Institute. The Library is conveniently located in the Block “C “ of the Academic Building and has a large collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals, Project Reports, Manuals, Proceedings, stock of books are regularly upgraded with the latest editors and new launchers. The Library was started in the year 1999 in a small room of the administrative building, with small collection of document. Since then, it has grown in the size and content to take the present shape. In all those years, the Library has been the lifeline for the academic activities of our institute.
The library has a large collection of books , Text & Reference (approx. 25,000), 900 online International Journals like IEEE, IEE, and SPRINGER LINK, Back Volume Journals (IEEE, IEE, IBM, MC-GRAW – HILL etc.), Periodicals, CD Rom, Cassettes, Project Report, Proceedings of Conference, Seminar, Workshop, .Newspapers. The Institute subscribes to AICTE-INDEST Consortium through which the faculty members and students can access more than about 900 foreign journals (Springer link and IEEE).
The central library is equipped with digital library management system enabling online book search and issue-return. Manual search of the catalogue cards maintained Author-wise and Subject- wise. /The Library uses Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system to classify its documents and AACR – 2 Catalogue Rules.
It is enriched with E-Learning Facilities, comprising of EDUSAT, Electronic study materials and access to online journals and conference proceedings of IEEE and Springer Verlag. The reference tools available in the library include: Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Year Book, Handbook of Engineering, Technical Data (Mechanical), and Entrance Examination guidebooks for GATE, GMAT, GRE, TOFEL, MAT etc.
