The Department offers education at the Undergraduate-Level with the aim of providing a solid background in the areas of Electrical Engineering. The Department also provides support to all other Engineering Departments for their classes on Electrical Engineering based topics.

The Department has 11 well-equipped Laboratories with state of art Devices and Electrical Machines. The students are given access to the Experimental Setups either in groups or in a 1:1 ratio, so as to enable them to have a true experience of teamwork as well as a hands-on experience to be at par with the latest Electrical Technologies. The Department also conducts classes in Laboratories owned by the other Engineering Departments.

The Department operates its own Library with requisite stock of Textbooks, References. It also maintains a sample-stock of Question Papers of the Examination as well as Class Tests that have been held in the past. The Department takes the responsibility of the maintenance, issue and return of books. The Department has its own Conference-Room enabled with all kinds of facilities for holding in-house Meetings, Conferences, Technical Presentations and Discussions.

The Department takes part in a range of activities. The Department organizes conferences, workshops and seminars in various specialized fields with participants from all over the country, and runs in-house seminars to enable knowledge sharing for the benefit of the teachers and students within the Department and other Departments as well.
