B. P. Poddar Foundation

B. P. Poddar Foundation for Education, a “Trust” named after Late Badri Prasad Poddar, a great philanthropist and ex-Chairman of IIT Kharagpur, was set up with the sole aim of enhancing and enriching the quality of technical, medical and management education in our country. The first milestone of its achievement in the field of education was the establishment of its first Engineering Institute named B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. Thereafter, a number of other Institutes and a research centre have also been set up by the Foundation.
